THE LECCINO

The Leccino is an oil cvs, it is the most well-known olive cultivar, widespread and cultivated, in Italy, presents a high force with an elegant bearing. Production is good and constant and the fruits, which have an early and contemporary maturation, give a good yield in oil. Very rustic variety, it tolerates well adversity such as the olive knot, the olive leaf spot and the cold. The Leccino gives a medium fruity oil, with hints of artichoke and almond, sensations of balanced taste with a bitter and spicy medium light.

THE CAROLEA

The Carolea is table and oil cvs, native to the land of Lamezia Terme. This variety has a high force, upright habit and a thick and compact foliage. The fruits, large, at the apex, are characterized by a protuberance normally quite obvious. The maturation of the olives is scalar and later than the Leccino but the content in oil is higher. Carolea oil is fruity, with feelings of grass, almond and artichoke, has a feeling of balanced taste with a medium-high bitter and spicy in relation to the harvesting time.

The resulting blend is peculiar and was characterized as early as 2013 in the Progettor “CERTification of Varietal Composition, Geographical Origin and the absence of synthetic products in extra virgin Olive OLI” conducted research center for olive oil and oil industry (CRA-OLI) of Rende (CS) and is given below
